Tuesday, September 6 : Year 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the legendary head of the Ryazan State Academic Russian Folk Choir, Evgeny Popov, and the 110th anniversary of the birth of Irina Kosilkina, the founder of the ensemble.
The concert is dedicated to the legacy of outstanding artists of our country, and the program includes pieces from the "golden fund" of the choir – the songs to the verses of Sergei Yesenin arranged by Yevgeny Popov, who worked a lot on the lyrics of our famous countryman, as well as works on poems by Sergei Smirnov-Smely, Olga Zaokskaya, Boris Zhavoronkov. No ensemble concert can do without these songs, and the song "The Moon Above the Window" has long been the ensemble's trademark.
On Thursday, September 8 , the audience will see a recording of the "Russian Song" concert program, in which all the vocal numbers are performed a cappella.
Singing without musical accompaniment requires careful, detailed work. Each singer must have intonational flexibility and accurately blend into the chorus.
The audience will fully experience this and hear all facets of Russian song - sometimes lingering and lyrical, sometimes fervent and inviting to dance. The choir will perform spiritual poems "Soul Called" and "My Soul", songs "Clear Moon" by A. Novikov and D. Tereschenko, "Nights near Moscow" by V. Solovyev-Sedogo and M. Matusovsky, "There is one good song in the Nightingale" by A. Kozyrev. Kozyrev, " Thou my fallen maple" on verses by S. Yesenin, folk songs of Ryazan region "Bochenka", "Oh, maidens, time to play", "Tunba", "Do not rage, violent winds" and many others.
The chorus ballet company will perform the audience's favorite choreographic productions - "Shatskaya," "Kasimov Bells" and "Lyrical Roundelay". The concert will conclude with a prayer recitation of the exploits of Russian saints, "The Russian Land."
As usual, the broadcasts will be available at 19:00 CET.
