The Zero Plus Film Festival was held for the seventh time in Tyumen. The interest in this event of international level is growing every year both among the audience and among the participants. This time the film festival received over 2000 applications from a wide range of countries. The organisers faced the difficult task of reviewing all the works and selecting the most valuable ones for participation in the film festival.
The festival featured full-length and short feature films, animated films, documentaries and popular science films from different countries: Germany, Poland, UK, Spain, Turkey, Iran, Qatar, Argentina, Chile, India, USA, Canada and many others.
Zero Plus" and the Federation of Contemporary Art also presented the project "Territory of free creativity "Version". This is a special educational platform where viewers were told about a new approach to creativity, about views filled with reflections, emotional experiences, searches and discoveries. Within the framework of the project, guests were shown a performance "The Spines" by dance company Mattera, a performance "Guide Star" by artists of "Young Ballet Masters School" (Kogalyms), a creative message from dance company INSIDE "Face to Face" (Kogalyms) and a performance "Distance" from the Dance Theatre "Perspective" (Tyumen). This initiative was implemented by means of a grant from the Russian Culture Fund under the federal project "Creative People" of the national project "Culture".
As part of the film festival, a film pedagogy forum and a round table were traditionally held. Dozens of experts, practitioners, managers, teachers, parents, as well as directors and producers took part in the festival. More than 160 people were involved in the online broadcast of the event.
Also during the film festival, the winners of the "WE" competition were announced jointly with the National Parents Association. Commemorative diplomas and prizes went to their holders.
The jury of the seventh Zero Plus consisted of film industry professionals, heads of international film festivals, cultural and educational figures: editor, director, scriptwriter, and winner of numerous awards Maria Sergeenkova ("Salute 7", "Grigory R. Grigorevsky"). "We Are from the Future", "Brest Fortress", "Battalion"); dubbing actor and director Sergei Chikhachev ("Terminator 2", "Hobbit", "Cold Heart 2", "Adventures of Paddington 2", "Avengers: Era Altrona"); director of the international cultural project "Russian Seasons" Alexey Lebedev; director, scriptwriter, general producer of Wizart Animation studio Vladimir Nikolaev; director, producer, professor Dragan Milinkovic (Serbia); executive secretary of the Coordination Council of the National Parents Association Alexey Gusev; director of kino-teatr portal. ru Jean Prosyanov; producer of the project "Fics" Julia Sofronova; Anna Rybalova, producer, founder and head of Barents Ecological Film Festival; Irina Belykh, program director of the Festival of actual scientific cinema FANK; Tatiana Danilyants, film director, producer, author of documentary and feature films; Bakhyt Kairbekov, poet, scriptwriter, film director, honoured worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The members of the jury held several master classes and creative meetings, which could be attended by all comers upon preliminary free registration. The experts shared their experience in the film industry, journalism and other media areas.
In addition to the professional jury, the work of the participants was assessed by a children's jury consisting of five people.
So, the time has come to name the winners of the Zero Plus Film Festival in 2020:
After a long meeting of the jury, it was decided to award the Grand Prix of the Zero Plus VII International Festival of Children's and Family Film to two film works. The Grand Prix was awarded to the film "HOW TO POLSE SHOW" (School of Life), directed by Nicolas Vanier, France, and to the film "VOSPYLAVSHY". (KINDLED), directed by Natasha Bishop, New Zealand.
Best film of the international feature film competition "COMMANDA MECHTA", directed by Philippe Abryutin, Maxim Zykov, Russia.
Best Film at the International Short Fiction Film Competition "MELNITSA" (CACCIAGUIDA), directed by David Del Marais, Italy.
Best film at the International Short Animated Film Competition Galchonok, directed by Marat Narimanov, Russia.
Best film of the international competition of educational, documentary and popular science cinema "TEST" (KEEPER), directed by Johan Kramer, Netherlands.
Special Prize for the Humpbacked Horse won the film "Odeyalko" directed by Marina Moshkova, Russia.
The special prize from the Department of Culture of the Tyumen Oblast was awarded to the film "TELENOK" directed by Victoria Runtsova, Russia.
