'Russian Seasons' continue to webcast the best stage productions, ballet performances, concerts and shows of Russia in digital format. A special program awaits the audience this weekthat includes a project by the production agency 'Open Art', a night of three premieres of the Mariinsky Theatre ballet 'Dance. Dance. Dance' and a concert to the birthday of Fabio Mastrangelo, head of the St. Petersburg 'Music Hall' Theatre.
This Tuesday, December 15 , the audience will be able to enjoy three new studies, three new compositions by choreographers Alexander Chelidze, Emil Faski and Dmitry Maslennikov. The premieres of the Mariinsky Theatre, Honored Artists of Russia Igor Kolb, Danila Korsuntsev and Evgeny Ivanchenko are known and loved the world over, however, their innovative project 'Dance. Dance. Dance' previously could be seen only by select audience of the Alexandrinsky Theatre.
This is not just a ballet but a fully-fledged experiment where absolute creative freedom reigns, limited to one act by each of the soloists. This was exactly the idea of the three artists, each of whom will demonstrate his own viewpoint on the male dance. Thus, the story that unfolds in the act by Danila Korsuntsev, winner of numerous international competitions, among which Joinville (Brazil 1995) and Maya (St. Petersburg, 1996) turns out to be very personal. In his storyline, he recounts the story of the tragic fate and mysterious death of the prominent Soviet dancer Yuri Solovyov who died at the age of 36. In the second act, an unusual love story of a man and a woman stuck together in the elevator is shown through the language of modern ballet. The unique technique and passionate dance of Yevgeny Ivanchenko and the soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Renata Shakirova delighted the audience at the premiere at the Alexandrinsky Theatre in 2018. Igor Kolb (Art Director of the 'Dance Dance Dance' project) will present a plastic reflection on the theme of attention to the fragile inner world of an artist and its often painful relationship with real life, about the place of a person in the modern world where information accessibility and the broadest communicative possibilities coexist with the feeling of absolute isolation and total loneliness, one's anguish, tenderness, and sincerity.
'It is with great pleasure that I invite all online buffs of 'Russian Seasons' to join the viewing of the project 'Dance. Dance. Regarding this event, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the viewers on the forthcoming holidays! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I can't even believe that millions will come to my birthday, it's so exciting! Such digital services are indispensable today. And I am confident that this is not our last successful broadcast on the 'Russian Seasons' platform,' commented Fabio Mastrangelo, Artistic Director of the 'Music Hall' Theatre.
The week will be concluded with a video tour over the Museum of Theatre and Music Arts.
