On Tuesday 10 November, the opening concert of the XI International Festival Vivacello, Russia's only forum dedicated to cello music, will be broadcast for spectators. Thanks to the unique acoustic system of the Zarya-dieu Hall, everyone will be able to touch the luxurious panorama of cello sounds from the world's best musicians even through the screen. Alexander Knyazev, Narek Akhnaza-ryan (Armenia), Claudio Bohorkes (Germany), Danjulo Ishizaki (Germany) and others will come on stage. Krzysztof Penderecki, an outstanding Polish composer and conductor, honoured the festival with his presence. Dmitry Filatov, a laureate of the International Conducting Competition of Evgeniya Svetlanova, will stand at the desk of the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra in Moscow.
On this evening, the cello will be performed in the charming language of the twentieth century classics: one of the treasures of the cello repertoire - a cello rhapsody concert with the orchestra of Aram Khachaturian (1963), a bright and incredibly expressive work by the young French composer and guitarist Samuel Struck "Le Rêve de Maya" at the Zaradier Hall will be performed for the first time in an arrangement for cello, bayan and orchestra. Concerto grosso No 1 for three cellos and orchestra by Krzysztof Penderecki (2001) will also be performed.
