During the holiday season, everyone wants to believe in magic! The Russian Seasons video platform www.russianseasons.orgtogether with the documentary film "Fall in Love with Russia in 30 Days," will help you get enchanted by the winter fairy tale, feel the anticipation of a miracle and believe in the simple human kindness, and show you how important it is to be open to new feelings and experiences.
The unique project "To Love Russia in 30 Days", featuring the stories of foreign ballet dancers who conquered the main stage of St. Petersburg - the Alexandrinsky Theatre - will be aired throughout January.
The protagonists are 15 foreign dancers and choreographers from 12 different countries. The summer of 2022 was a real challenge for them as they participated in the third choreographic session of the School of Innopraktika and Russian Seasons under the supervision of the teachers of the Boris Eifman Dance Academy.
On Tuesday, January 3 , the video platform will air its first episode - "It's On." , whose title neatly sums up the essence. Some went to a distant and harsh country at their own risk, and others perceived it as a journey and adventure, but everyone had one thing in common - the desire to discover something new and unexplored.
Each of them has their history, philosophy and dreams, but all these roads brought the dancers to St. Petersburg, where 30 days of intense dance intensives, new discoveries and, most importantly, opportunities to get to know and love Russia and understand real "Russian ballet" as something sharp, unpredictable, demonstratively changing forms were waiting for them.
On Thursday, January 5, the second series – "Acquaintance" – will tell about how the project participants get to know each other and immerse themselves in the learning process, mastering the basics of the technique of Russian ballet and the Russian school of contemporary dance. Most importantly, the audience will see the shaping of the creative work but also immerse into the personal worlds of the students, who strive to learn the secrets of excellence and absorb the best features of the great Russian culture through communication with teachers and colleagues, rehearsals, visits to museums, and concerts.
All documentary episodes will be shown on the video platform over the next three weeks. Each will be not just a revelation to the audience, but a story that everyone will experience, create, and, most importantly, discover something new about themselves.
A whole team of experienced and creative specialists worked on the project. Scriptwriter - Andrei Lysyakov, composer - Andrei Dobrov. The general producer of the movie was Alexei Lebedev, director of the Russian Seasons.
"Fall in love with Russia in thirty days" is a unique opportunity for the audience to experience the dance art of different national schools, the rich artistic traditions of different cultures and the unique creative world of talented choreographers and dancers from around the world. Now the international educational project " Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School," promoting intercultural dialogue since 2020, will be available in a digital format on the Premier online cinema platform.
As usual, the broadcasts will be available at 19:00 CET.
