On February 16, 2023, the Creativity Unites concert, organized by the Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School, will take place at the Boris Eifman Dance Academy Theater. The audience will enjoy a unique program featuring talented Russian and International artists and choreographers.
The event organizer is the Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School – an international project that supports young artists interested in Russian culture and contributes to developing intercultural dialogue between representatives of different countries, artistic views, and aesthetic traditions. The School was founded by the Innopraktika company and the Russian Seasons cultural project.
Since 2020, the School has hosted an annual choreographic session directed by Boris Eifman , a People's Artist of the Russian Federation and an outstanding choreographer. Twenty productions have been created by young and distinctive choreographers from all over the world over the two years of the session. Among them are:: Shang-Jen Yuan (Taiwan), Adrian Marcelo Sainz (Mexico), Davidson Farias (Brazil), Giulia Roversi (Italy), Vladimir Varnava, Ksenia Mikheeva, Alexander Chelidze (Russia) and others. The best productions later graced the programs of prestigious international dance festivals.
The result and culmination of the choreographic session is the large-scale Global Values International Festival . The festival provides a unique opportunity to learn about the rich traditions of different cultures and the unique creative world of talented choreographers and dancers worldwide.
The Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School is a unique educational experience and a place to develop and support long-term creative connections and cultural cooperation. A vivid example is the evening of contemporary choreography, "Creativity Unites." It features productions by students of the last year's School – talented choreographers Ivana Balabanova (North Macedonia) and Allen Chunhui Xing (China / USA), created in collaboration with artists of the Modern Dance Theater "Cannon Dance" and senior students of the Boris Eifman Dance Academy. The Xing Dance Theater will surprise the audience with its first performance in Russia. Allen Chunhui Sin, an alumnus of School 2022 and a talented, internationally sought-after choreographer, is the company's artistic director. Attending the School's choreographic session and learning about the traditions of Russian art made an indelible impression on him and inspired him to continue his cultural exchange and perform for the Russian audience more.
The concert on February 16 will kick off School 2023's creative season and will precede the third Global Values Festival, held on July 28-29 at the Alexandrinsky Theater.

Human beings are social creatures. We exist in massive, complex informational content that significantly impacts our lives. We face many challenges as members of society, the country, and the world. We are bombarded daily by multidirectional streams of information, shards of images, impressions, and the visual chaos of mass culture. All this deprives modern people's worldview of integrity and depth and causes a conflict between inner values and aggressive influence from the outside.
The production was created during the Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School.
The premiere took place on the main stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater as part of the II International Festival "Global Values" (July 23-24, 2022).

It's a performance that keenly reflects our reality. It is a statement about modern man and modern society, about our complex, contradictory, high-speed, unpredictable world, in which man needs somehow to maintain balance and inner strength.
Ivana Balabanova : "When creating this work, I was motivated by the desire to explore the profound psychological impact that the mass use of social media has on people. The audience will see images of repressed emotions and feel the burden that people carry, constantly feeling the need to keep up with society. The life of a modern person often turns into an endless race of fears, anxieties, illusions, and self-oppression because of the constant comparison with others. We can hide our inner state behind numerous masks, images of successful personalities on the web, and in everyday life fall into apathy because of the oversaturation and the need to constantly play different roles."
The production grew out of the miniature "In My Mind", which was created during the Innopraktika and Russian Seasons School and was first shown on the main stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater as part of the II International Festival "Global Values" (July 23-24, 2022).

As citizens of a society and a country, we face many challenges affecting our lives. As citizens of society, we get labels... Labels, such as Foreigner, Immigrant, White, Black, Asian, Poor, Old, Young, Rich... People fight for the label they want, for the label they don't want... We fight for opportunities, fight to beat diseases and fight for our lives. But what is essential? What are YOU fighting for?
