Interviewed by the 'Rossiyskaya Gazeta' news outlet the 'Russian Seasons' director talked about the Stay home with Russian Seasons on-line service.
'Being as we are - a large international Russian project running in a foreign country, showcasing cultural treasures of the nation, we see the current situation as a challenge. We postponed 100% of all our events in March and April of 2020 to a later stage (this year 'the seasons' run in France, Belgium, Luxembourg), but we are not done with this. To ensure access to the cultural content of Russia for all interested and to carry on with our marathon no matter what we launched the 'Stay home with Russian Seasons' initiative. We refocused our efforts and resources from offline to online. We turned to our participants of the 'Russian seasons' of this and previous years requesting them to provide video content for broadcasts on our web-site' - said Alexey Lebedev.
The special section created at http://russianseasons.org/ will feature the events organised with the leading institutions of culture and creative ensembles from Russia: theatre performances, concerts, ballet shows, film screenings.
The 'Stay Home with Russian Seasons' initiative have already been supported by the leading cultural institutions and companies - participants of the 'Russian seasons': the All-Russian Youth Orchestra conducted by Yuri Bashmet, the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, the Alexandrinsky Theatre and others.
