Alla Manilova, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, held a meeting with Alexei Lebedev, Director of the Russian Seasons ANO, during which they discussed the results and prospects of the main export project - the Russian Seasons festival.
"Today we are at a unique historical point: no generation has had such an access to masterpieces of world culture. In recent months, literally all leading museums, theaters and philharmonic societies have opened their doors to Internet users," said Alla Manilova.
Special attention at the meeting was paid to the program of the project "Russian Seasons", postponed to the end of the year. Alexei Lebedev spoke about the events, which were planned for the IV quarter of 2020.
According to him, among the key events are concerts of outstanding music groups and performers: the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia named after V.I. Lebedev. Е. Svetlanov as part of the International Music Festival in Besançon, the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra together with the winners of the Tchaikovsky Competition under the direction of V. Gergiev in France, the Great Symphony Orchestra and opera singer Anna Netrebko in Belgium, the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra in France and Belgium, the Moscow Virtuosi Orchestra under the direction of V. Gergiev. Spivakov in France, Igor Butman and soloists of the Moscow Jazz Orchestra "Igor Butman's Quintet" in Belgium and Luxembourg, the MusicAeterna Orchestra under the baton of T. Spivakov. Kurtenzis in Paris. The Mariinsky Theatre will be presenting the opera Khovanshchina in France and Luxembourg. Foreign spectators will also be able to see a travelling exhibition of the Patriarchal Council for Culture supported by the Russian Ministry of Culture "UNESCO World Heritage. Pskov Temples", which will be held in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
"Through all available channels - through foreign missions, embassies, all kinds of information resources - we invite foreign audiences to our platform. Every week we try not to miss the opportunity and continue to introduce all lovers of art and creativity through the online resource Stay home with Russian Seasons to the diversity of Russian culture," said the Deputy Minister. She also informed that as a result of the meeting with the director of ANO Russian Seasons it was decided that the project will be extended in digital format at least until the end of summer 2020.
During 2 months of work Stay home with Russian Seasons project achieved impressive results: more than 23 million views on the official website russianseasons.org, YouTube channel, project communities in social networks, on websites of partners and participants of Russian Seasons. The foreign audience of the project is actively growing. The initiative Stay home with Russian Seasons was supported by leading Russian cultural sites and groups. To date, the project has seen 44 broadcasts.
The geography of information coverage of the project "Russian Seasons" has been significantly expanded. The audience of the broadcasts includes users from France, Germany, USA, Spain, Ireland, Japan, Great Britain, Belarus, Italy, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Israel.
