The new week will present us with the works of the participants of the VIII Zero Plus International Children's and Youth Film Festival. On Tuesday and Thursday, Stay Home with Russian Seasons, an international project platform, will launch broadcasts on their website: russianseasons.org.
The festival was first held in Tyumen in 2014 with the participation of Russian and foreign representatives of children's and youth cinematography. Since 2015, the festival expanded its program and added an educational track "Film Pedagogy" - lessons and master classes for children and parents began to be held. In 2017, the festival received over 3,000 entries from 100 countries. Since 2018, Zero Plus, an educational online movie theater, has been created, and movies for school and family are available for viewing throughout the year. Despite the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the festival was held in 2020 with international guests online.
The film festival selects feature films, animated films, and documentaries from around the world for children, teenagers, and families. On Tuesday, September 28, Stay Home with Russian Seasons will host 2 film festival residents. "Barefoot in the Sky," a 2017 film directed by Russian filmmaker Evgeny Basov. It’s about a person’s feelings while experiencing change. The second film is "Railroad," directed by Natalia Popova. The film was filmed in 2020 and tells the story of the fate of a toy, which has witnessed many fates and can tell us about people much more than they can themselves.
On September 30, Thursday, there will be broadcasts of 3 festival participants. Director Mila Grigorieva with 2021's "Spring" and director Lisa Alexeyeva’s 2020 film "Knights Do Not Fear" will tell us about the first deep feeling, about shyness and indecision, about courage and open-mindedness.
Director Galiyabanu Bakhtiyarova's film "Ayrat Means Amazing" has a sacred meaning - objects and people are completely different, but everyone wants to be needed and loved.
The broadcasts will be available on Tuesday and Thursday at 19:00 CET.
