On December 15th there will be a concert of the soloists of the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra within the international cultural project Russian Seasons in Belgium. The performance will be held in the center of social assistance to families and children "De Plan-aid" to create a New Year's at-mosphere and immerse young listeners in a world of magic.
Like the kingdom itself, the concert program of the orchestra combines the aesthetics of different cultures and countries: the musical work for flute "Syrinx" by C. Debussy will be performed by Ruta Waitkuta, Varvara Petrova will perform the oboe solo part from the Six Metamorphoses by Ovid B. Brit-ten, Nikita Yanovsky (French horn) will perform Appel Interstellaire from Des Canyons aux étoiles by Olivier Messiaen, and Anneliese Bodts (harp) will perform works by Claude Debussy and Alphonse Hasselmans. The musical pieces that will be performed in the concert program are imbued with magic and the expectation of a miracle.
The All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of the maestro and Russian Sea-sons project ambassador - Yuri Bashmet, was created for the first time in 2012. The orchestra consists of over 100 young musicians between the ages of 10 and 22 from various Russian cities. The orchestra was formed based on an all-Russian competition for classical music performers, unique in its idea and scale. Equally important, such an orchestra, bringing together the best young musicians of different ages from a variety of cities, was created for the first time in our country's history. In 2019, Yuri Bashmet became an ambassador of the Russian Seasons.
"The All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra is a unique ensemble. We find incredibly gifted children in different cities of our country and help them become professional musicians step by step. But each of them is an amazingly talented solo musician with their face and recognizable style. That is why for me it is essential when the guys play not only in the orchestra on the world's best stages, so when we organize chamber concerts for them, it's where they can show their individuality. And I am delighted that despite today's difficult time, thanks to such a wonderful project like Russian Seasons, which I am an Ambassador of, Belgian citizens will be able to get acquainted with the skills and creativity of young Russian soloists, participants of the All-Russian Youth Symphony Orchestra", - Yuri Bashmet.
Thanks to the orchestra, Yuri Bashmet's educational centers for young gifted musicians already operate in 16 Russian regions permanently.
The traditional disguise of the famous Belgian statue-fountain 'Manneken Pis' in a stylized ver-sion of the Russian Guardsman costume, which took place on June 12, 2021, the day of the national in-dependence of Russia, was the symbol of the festival's continuation in Belgium. Russian Ambassador to Belgium Alexander Tokovinin took part in the ceremony.
In September 2021, the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella Choir was conducted by the Peo-ple's Artist of the USSR - Vladislav Chernushenko. The concerts were held in four major Catholic ca-thedrals of Belgian cities. The events were supported by the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brussels.
